AUBURN – No. 17 Auburn gymnastics jumps back into SEC competition on Friday when it hosts second-ranked Florida at 7 p.m. in the Auburn Arena.
“Florida will be a tremendous test for us on Friday,” Auburn head coach Jeff Graba said. “Florida has a really talented team and we are excited to once again welcome in a highly-ranked opponent into Auburn Arena. Probably most importantly, we are really looking forward to being in front of the Auburn Family again. The week has been short, but practices have been really good. I am excited to see what we can do against No. 2 Florida and I’m hoping for another great crowd.”
Auburn is hoping to bounce back after last week’s score of 193.650 at West Virginia. The Tigers have averaged a score of 195.925 in two meets, compared to an average score of 194.506 in four road meets.
Friday night is Short Person Appreciation Night. Any fan that is shorter than the 5-foot, two-inch cut-out of gymnast Toi Garcia will receive free admission to the meet. General admission tickets are available by calling 855-AUB-2010 or by visiting www.AUBTIX.com.
