AUBURN - The Auburn gymnastics team is ranked No. 12 in the latest edition of the GymInfo Collegiate Gymnastics poll, the organization released Sunday.

Auburn (2-4, 2-3) is ranked 12th with a 195.413 average after previously holding down the No. 16 position. "I've been really proud of the girls with the work they've put in with two great scores on the road the past few weeks," said head coach Jeff Thompson. "We're No. 12 now and we're happy to be back in the top 15, but we want to continue to move up the rest of the year." Sophomore Allyson Sandusky leads the Tigers in a pair of events, as she is 16th-nationally on bars with a 9.846 average and is 26th on beam (9.8). She also ranks 47th on vault (9.821).

Fellow sophomore Justine Foster comes in at No. 25 on vault with a 9.846 scoring average. In all-around competition, senior Krissy Voss is tied for 39th with a 38.975, while sophomore Kylie Shields, coming off a career-best in the event against Kentucky, ranks 54th with a 38.813. Junior Rachel Inniss, coming off of a 9.925 on beam against Kentucky, is the final Tiger in the top 50, as she is tied for 39th with a 9.775 average in the event.

The Tigers rank seventh in the country on beam, with all six regulars on the event ranking in the top 100. Auburn ranks 13th on bars (48.863), 14th on vault (49.004), and 24th on floor (48.654)

Alabama (196.575) and Oklahoma (196.563) hold the first and second spots in the national poll, followed by Oregon State at No. 3 (196.129). Auburn's next opponent, Florida, comes in at No. 4 (196.117), while Utah (196.088) closes out the top five.

Two more squads that Auburn has faced this season are in the top 10, as Arkansas is No. 6 with a 196.079, while Georgia ranks No. 7 (195.996). "We're thankful for the off week that gives us two weeks for us to get ready for a very tough opponent in Florida," Thompson said of the impeding week off. Auburn returns to action following a bye week on Friday, Feb. 26, as the Tigers will play host to Florida at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
