AUBURN – No. 13 Auburn gymnastics was recently featured on CollegeGymFans.com in their early season review, listing the program as “On the Rise” and also heaping praise on freshman Bri Guy.
“I think it is great to hear that other people out there think of our program as ‘On the Rise’,” Auburn coach Jeff Graba said. “It really just confirms my belief that we are headed in the right direction and that the future is very bright for Auburn Gymnastics.”
CollegeGymFans.com also called freshman Bri Guy a “Fab Frosh” and listed her floor routine as one of the must-see routines on floor thus far in 2012.
“I am not at all surprised that Bri is getting a lot of positive attention,” Graba said. “She is throwing one of the hardest floor routines in the country and I believe she will be able to hold her own against anyone on that event. That in itself is a tremendous source of pride for our program. I am confident that Bri is one of the best freshmen in the country and am excited that others seem to agree with my assessment.”
With a rank of 13th for the second-straight week, Auburn is holding its highest ranking since January 2010. The Tigers are coming off their highest road score of the season with a 195.800 at Arkansas. That mark is the highest for Auburn away from The Plains since it totaled 196.225 at Maryland in March 2010.
