AUBURN - No. 20 Auburn hosts No. 6 Georgia on Friday at 7 p.m. in Auburn Arena in the first home meet of 2012 for the Tigers.
"We are very excited to open our first meet up against Georgia," Auburn head coach Jeff Graba said. "They have a rich tradition and are currently having a tremendous year. I believe that we need to test ourselves against the best on a regular basis if we are to have this team handle the rigors of competition at the end of the year. This is a tremendous opportunity for our team to test its mettle against a national powerhouse."
Auburn is looking for just its second victory against the Gym Dogs and first in Auburn Arena. Georgia fell to the Tigers in its last visit to The Plains in 2010.
After a pair of meets on the road, the Auburn team is glad to be in Auburn Arena performing in front of the home crowd.
"The team is absolutely excited to be at home in front of our own fans this Friday," Graba said. "We have been on the road for what seems like a month and now we finally get to show our fans this new team. I think the fans will be excited with the talent and ability of this year's team, I know we as coaches are."
Fans unable to attend can follow all the action from Auburn Arena via the live blog below. Live stats and a live webstream will also be avaliable.
