AUBURN – No. 13 Auburn Gymnastics opens its home schedule on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Auburn Arena against No. 25 Kentucky in a meet that is also the SEC opener for both teams.

Tickets are still available at www.AUBTIX.com or by calling 855-AUB-2010. Reserved individual meet tickets may be purchased, depending on availability, for $7. Adult General Admission tickets are available for $5 and Youth General Admission tickets are available for $2. The first 1,000 fans will receive a 2013 schedule magnet from Goodwill.

With high attendance expected, special parking shuttles will be available at parking lots on West Thach and the Facilities Division beginning at 6 p.m. and running continuously until 10 p.m.

The team is looking forward to competing at home after opening the season on the road in California on Sunday.

“Our team is excited for the home opener this Friday night,” Auburn head coach Jeff Graba said. “After a very long road trip it will be nice to get in front of our own fans and perform. I believe Auburn Arena is the best place in the country to compete and this is mainly due to the tremendous atmosphere that our loyal fan base creates. This should be the start of an exciting year and we kick off our home schedule with a SEC matchup against a very talented Kentucky squad.”

The Tigers placed fourth last weekend with an overall score of 194.625. Kentucky placed second at the same meet with a mark of 195.125. Auburn is 34-29 all-time against the Wildcats.
