AUBURN, Ala.-- After opening the season at Iowa State this past weekend Auburn women's gymnastics has a number of individuals ranked in the latest Gyminfo poll.

Senior Rachel Inniss is the highest individually ranked Tiger gymnast, as she is ranked 6th in the balance beam. She turned in a first-place 9.850 performance to open her final season. Freshman Abbey Habicht is ranked 33rd on beam after earning a 9.8 in her first collegiate competition.

"I think now that we have hopefully been able to get our first meet jitters out of the way we can focus on moving our practice routines out to the competitive floor," head coach Jeff Graba said. "If we can get some of our experienced athletes a bit more healthy, and get some of these others the needed experience we will be a quality team."

In other events, Petrina Yokay is ranked 31st on vault after scoring a 9.825, and Kylie Shields is ranked 23rd on bars.

In event-by-event rankings Auburn ranks No. 9 on beam (48.650), No. 24 on bars (48.475), No. 28 on vault (48.375) and No. 45 on floor (47.275).

"Right now we have a lot of potential as long as we can control our nerves," Graba said.

Auburn returns to action Friday, Jan. 14 in their home opener against No. 25 LSU at 7 p.m. at Auburn Arena.

Single meet tickets are on sale now starting at $5 for adults and $2 for youth, and season tickets are $30. Family packs which include four season tickets are available for $80.
