Fayetteville, Ark. - Lindsey Puckett captured her second consecutive all-around title and fourth of the season with a career high 39.550 in the Auburn gymnastics team's (4-6, 0-6 SEC) loss to the Arkansas Gym'Backs (4-4, 2-3 SEC) 196.425-195.950. The Tigers won both the beam and floor competitions, but fell short on bars.

"We had an amazing night," said Auburn head coach Jeff Thompson. "To tie our season high score after counting a fall shows how great our other three events were this evening. We are still having some issues on bars in competition. We are trying to figure out who will hit under pressure. Despite the falls, this score should propel us close to the top 10 in next week's rankings."

Puckett placed first in three events - bars, beam and floor. Senior Julie Dwyer, who placed second in the all-around, tied Puckett and two Gym'Backs for first on bars scoring 9.850. Junior A.J. Mills tied Puckett for first on beam scoring 9.925. Puckett won the floor title outright scoring 9.925.

The Tigers struggled early with bars scoring 48.250 to the Hogs' 49.125 on vault. However, Auburn rebounded on vault to come with in .835 of Arkansas. Dwyer led the Tigers on vault scoring 9.850. Krissy Voss and Puckett followed scoring a pair of 9.825s.

The Tigers fought back on floor scoring 49.275, to Arkansas' 49.075, on beam. Puckett led floor scoring 9.925. Dwyer and Mills followed, both scoring 9.850.

Auburn tied a season high on beam with outstanding beam performances. Senior Kayla Gies started strong hitting a career high 9.875. Katie Hurley and Krissy Voss came next with a pair of 9.800s. Puckett and Mills raised the bar on beam, both scoring 9.925s, and tying for first place. Dwyer finished beam scoring 9.875.

The Tigers will return to action on Friday, Feb. 29, to host Illinois at 7 p.m., in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. Tickets for adults are $5 and $2 for children. Admission is free for Auburn students with a valid student ID. Live stats for all home meets are available at www.auburntigers.com.
