Two Former Tigers In Top 20 At LPGA Qualifying Tournament

DAYTONA, Fla. - Former Tiger Karlin Beck carded a 1-under 71 Saturday in the fourth round of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, moving up four places into a tie for fifth in the 139-player field. Cydney Clanton will join her in the final round as she is tied for 16th after 72 holes of play. Beck carded three birdies and was 3-under after the first 11 holes, but bogeys on Nos. 12 and 16 dropped her to 1-under on the day. She heads into the final day with rounds of 71-72-74-71--288 and is 10 strokes behind leader Christine Song. Clanton carded a 2-over 74 for the day to remain in a tie for 16th. She posted a pair of birdies on the first eight holes, but a double-bogey on No. 9 dropped her to even par. Bogeys on Nos. 12 and 14 gave her a 74 on the day and rounds of 72-76-70-74--292 for the tournament. Also playing Saturday was former Tiger Nicole Hage. She carded an 8-over 80 for the day and missed the 72-hole cut. She finished the tournament in a tie for 115th with rounds of 72-81-75-80--308. The 90-hole stroke play tournament will conclude Sunday, Dec. 4. The top-40 and ties following the final day of play will receive 2012 LPGA Tour membership.
