DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Three former Tigers played their way onto the LPGA Tour Sunday at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla. Maria Martinez (`06) finished at 10-under par and in third place, earning full exemption status for the 2007 Tour.

"I am very proud of Maria," Auburn head coach Kim Evans said. "She put five very good rounds together and will spend 2007 competing with the best in the world as a result."

Danielle Downey (`03) finished just two strokes shy of earning a full exemption, placing tied for 17th at 1-over par. Celeste Troche (`03) finished at seven-over in 51st place. Both golfers will have non-exempt status on the 2007 Tour, which allows them to play a limited number of events.

The fourth former Tiger in the tournament, Diana Ramage (`05) was disqualified.

Overall, 41 golfers earned exemptions in the five-day event, held at the LPGA International Champions and Legends Courses. The 90-hole tournament had golfers playing each course twice before Saturday's cut to the top-70 and ties. Sunday's final round was played on the Legends Course.
