AUBURN - The No. 3/5 Auburn women's golf team will travel to Wilmington, N.C., this weekend to play its final tournament of the fall season at the 10th Annual Landfall Tradition.

Hosted by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the Landfall Tradition is a 54-hole stroke play tournament being played at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C. The par-72 course will play at 6,208 yards for the tournament.

The 18-team field features six teams ranked in the top 25 in the nation. Making out the field is No. 3 Auburn, No. 4 North Carolina, UNCW, No. 12 Duke, No. 16 North Carolina State, No. 23 Virginia, No. 25 Ohio State, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Florida State, Iowa State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Purdue, South Carolina, Tulane and Wake Forest.

"The Landfall Tradition is a really great tournament with a great field and excellent community support," said Auburn head coach Kim Evans. "This is our first time here for this event, though we have played here before for the NCAA Fall Preview and the NCAA Championship.

"They have 45 holes of golf here and the last time we were here we played the Dye Course, but this time we will be on the Ocean and Marsh Courses. We are excited to play and ready to go."

Playing in this weekend's line-up will be Marta Sanz, Carlie Yadloczky, Patricia Sanz, Victoria Trapani and Nicole Quinn.

Marta Sanz and Yadloczky have each won an individual title this season, Yadloczky at the "Mo" Morial and Sanz at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational.

Marta Sanz leads the team with a 72.00 stroke average on the season, a mark that ranks her sixth in the Southeastern Conference. Yadloczky is right behind her with a 72.11 average, ranking seventh in the league. Freshmen Trapani and Quinn each have top-10 finishes for the Tigers this season and rank third and fourth on the team with stroke averages of 74.00 and 74.50, respectively.

The Landfall Tradition will be the Tigers' last tournament for the fall season. Auburn has three top-three finishes so far with a runner-up showing at the "Mo" Morial and third-place finishes at the Tar Heel Invitational and the SEC/PAC-12 Challenge.

"We have had a good fall so far, but we want to finish strong," said Evans. "Our goal is definitely to continue to improve and we want to be in that final group on the final day."

Players will tee off in three-player pairings from the Nos. 1 and 10 holes on Friday and Saturday with a shotgun start for Sunday's final round. Fans can follow along with live stats at www.GolfStat.com.
