AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn women's golf team will continue its season Friday as the Tigers tee off at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn. The tournament is the second of the fall for the Tigers.

Hosted by the Vanderbilt, the Mason Rudolph Championship is a 54-hole tournament played at the Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course in Franklin, Tenn. The par 72 course will play at 6,337 yards for the tournament. The event features 15 teams from around the country, including 11 teams ranked in the top 25 in the nation.

"We are excited to get back to work this week at the Mason Rudolph Championship," said Auburn associate head coach Andrew Pratt. "This is one of the best tournaments in women's collegiate golf and Vanderbilt does a fantastic job putting on a terrific tournament. It's another really strong field and we will have to play well to compete this week."

Auburn opened the season with an eighth-place finish at the Cougar Classic, Sept. 8-10. After a short 10-day break, the Tigers are back at it at the Mason Rudolph.

"We have had a quick turnaround from Charleston but a very productive week of practice and qualifying," said Pratt. "For us to play well this week we are going to need to really stay in the present and just focus on the shot at hand. If we stick to our game plan and play smart aggressive golf this week we will do just fine."

Auburn's lineup will feature junior Victoria Trapani, senior Diana Fernandez, sophomore Jamie Yun, senior Marta Sanz and sophomore Alex Harrell. Trapani led the Tigers at the Cougar Classic with a tie for 10th while Sanz and Harrell both tied for 30th in the 108-player field.

Auburn last played at the Mason Rudolph Championship in 2010, taking 12th place. Sanz and Fernandez both competed that week for the Tigers. Sanz played as an individual and tied for 51st while Fernandez tied for 74th.
