AUBURN - Four former Tigers are returning to Alabama for play in the Navistar LPGA Classic this week. Cydney Clanton, Candace Schepperle, Karlin Beck and Nicole Hage all qualified for the tournament held in Prattville.
The Navistar Classic is one of two LPGA tournaments in the state of Alabama. It will run Thursday through Sunday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill, Senator Course. The par-72 course will play at 7,697 yards for the 72-hole tournament.
Hage participated in the tournament in 2011, but was cut after the second round, posting 3-over 75s both days.
Hage will tee off No. 1 at 1:39 p.m., Thursday, playing with Kristy McPherson and Stephanie Kono. Schepperle will go off No. 10 at 7:55 a.m., playing with Jamie Hullett and Alena Sharp while Beck and Clanton take the last two tee times of the day off No. 10. Beck will play with Ji Young Oh, teeing off at 1:39 p.m., while Clanton till take the course at 1:50 p.m., playing with Michelle Dobek and Hannah Yun.
