    AUBURN - Auburn junior women's golfer Patricia Sanz has been named an All-American Scholar, the National Golf Coaches Association announced. The Madrid, Spain, native was named to the team for the third year in a row.

    Sanz has a 3.57 cumulative grade-point average, majoring in biomedical sciences. On the golf course, she finished second on the team with a 74.93 stroke average. She tallied three top-20 finishes on the season, including a season-best 67 at the SEC Championship, helping her finish in a tie for 14th.

    Since 1995, Auburn has had five different golfers earn 13 All-American Scholar honors. Sanz is the third three-time honoree, joining Marci Clemons and Kami Smith.
