AUBURN - Auburn junior Victoria Trapani has been named a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar, the organization announced Monday. Trapani earns the honor for the second year in a row.
The WGCA recognized 644 golfers across NCAA Divisions I, II and III with All-American Scholar status. A cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 is required to make the list.
Trapani, a rising junior from Hollywood, Fla., carries a 3.51 GPA while majoring in accountancy. She earned the honor last year after her freshman season and now becomes one of just six Tigers ever to earn the honor multiple years.
Trapani finished the 2012-13 season second on the team with a 75.04 stroke average. She led the Tigers at two tournaments, including a tie for sixth at the Southeastern Conference Championship. She also finished in the top 30 at the NCAA Championship, helping the Tigers take sixth - the team's best finish at the tournament in eight years.
