Women's Golf To Participate In UCF Challenge March 9-11

AUBURN - The No. 10 Auburn women's golf team will continue its spring season on March 9-11 at the UCF Challenge in Sorrento, Fla. The three-day tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,301-yard RedTail Golf Club.

The field of 18 teams includes 15 teams that are ranked in the top 25 nationally in the March 3 Golfweek poll, including seven of the top 10 teams in the nation. Top 10 teams in the field include No. 1 Duke, No. 2 UCLA, No. 4 USC, No. 5 Florida, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 8 Arkansas and No. 10 Auburn.

The Tigers sport a 68-24-5 record in six tournament appearances so far this year. Auburn's lineup at the UCF Challenge features junior Mariana Macias, sophomore Candace Schepperle, freshman Cydney Clanton, who is ranked No. 15 in the country, senior Abigale Schepperle and senior Margaret Shirley.

Auburn will tee off at 8 a.m. ET Monday from the No. 1 tee box along with Tennessee and Georgia. Rounds two and three will also begin at 8 a.m. ET. Live results will be available on www.golfstat.com.
