BATON ROUGE, La. - The Auburn women's golf team will travel to the LSU Cleveland Golf Classic March 3-5 for three rounds at the par 72, 6,333-yard LSU University Club.

The Tigers won the tournament in 2002, their last appearance in the event. In No. 5-ranked Auburn's first tournament of the spring season, it finished fifth at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.

Auburn's Maria Martinez is ranked at No. 2 in the country individually and is tops in the SEC. The senior will lead the lineup also consisting of Nicole Hage, Jessica Lovell, Abigale Schepperle and Margaret Shirley and Mariana Macias as an individual.

"We were really pleased with our performance at the Wildcat Invitational," Auburn head coach Kim Evans said. "I feel that this tournament is an opportunity for us to continue improving and developing as a team."
