Rain causes postponement, Auburn to play 36 holes Monday

NEW ORLEANS – The No. 24 Auburn women’s golf team’s first round at the AllState Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans was postponed due to heavy rains. The Tigers will now play 36 holes on Monday.

The 54-hole tournament on the par-72 course will be playing at 6,140 yards for the event at English Turn Golf & Country Club. Monday's round will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.

The 17-team field features four teams ranked inside the top-10 and nine teams ranked inside the top-25. 20 of the nation’s top-50 players will also compete for individual honors at the tournament including players from six SEC teams.
