AUSTIN, Texas - The No. 8 Auburn women's golf team concluded second-round play of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in ninth after carding a 10-over 298 in the second round to be at 21-over 597 for the tournament. Junior Marta Sanz led the Tigers on the day with a 3-under 69.

Hosted by the University of Texas, the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational is a 54-hole tournament played at the University of Texas Golf Club. The par 72 course is playing at 6,344 yards for the tournament.

"I'm really proud of the way Marta played today," said Auburn head coach Kim Evans. "She was real steady yesterday and she stepped it up today. We saw a few other good things out there, but we still have some work to do toward putting together a complete team round."

With the 69, Sanz Moved up 12 places into a tie for seventh at 2-under 142. She carded four birdies on the day Monday against just one bogey.

Senior Carlie Yadloczky finished the day at even par 72 to be 2-over 146 for the tournament and tied for 20th. Sophomore Victoria Trapani is tied for 37th at 6-over 150, following a second-round 4-over 76.

"Victoria had a good second nine for the second day in a row, so it was good to see her stay with it," said Evans. "Carlie had a good back nine as well today with four birdies."

After carding a 9-over 81 for the second round, junior Diana Fernandez is tied for 72nd with a 15-over 159, and sophomore Nicole Quinn stands at 17-over 161 and 76th, carding an 11-over 83 in the second round. Freshman Jamie Yun is 79th with a 24-over 168, 12-over 84 for the day.

Florida and Alabama share the lead for the tournament with 3-under 573s. Arizona State and Arkansas are tied for third with even par 567s, and Texas and Tulsa are tied for fifth with 10-over 586s.

Individually, Florida's Camilla Hedberg and Alabama's Jennifer Kirby share the lead at 6-under 138s. Alabama's Stephanie Meadow is in second with a 5-under 139, and Texas's Bertine Strauss is in fourth with a 4-under 140. Arkansas's Gabriela Lopez and Pepperdine's Grace Na share fifth place with 3-under 141s.

The final day of competition begins on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. CT, with a shotgun start. Live stats can be found at
