AUBURN, Ala. -- Two Auburn equestrian team members were honored as Southeastern Conference Riders of the Month for November, as announced by the league Wednesday. Christina Lin was honored for equitation over fences and Demi Stiegler was honored for equitation on the flat.
In November, Lin posted an impressive 5-0 record in equitation over fences, with three of those wins coming on the road. She averaged a score of 80 in each of her five wins, all against ranked opponents. Lin finished the fall season with a perfect 7-0 record.
Stiegler went 4-1 in equitation on the flat in the month of November. Each of her five wins came against ranked opponents, with three of her victories being on the road. The junior earned MOP honors after scoring the nation's highest score this fall with a 96 against No. 1 Baylor. Stiegler averaged a score of 82 through the month of November.
Lin and Stiegler also currently lead the team in overall wins with 11 apiece. The duo are regulars in both hunt seat events, and have boosted an equitation over fences team record of 26-9 for a .743 winning percentage.
The pair have helped Auburn to a 6-1 record through the fall season, which included two wins over No. 1 teams. The Tigers defeated No. 1 Georgia, 12-8, on Nov. 15 and then took down No. 1 Baylor in Waco, 10-9 on Nov. 22.
The third-ranked Auburn returns to action January 31, where the Tigers travel to Delaware to take on Delaware State and Oklahoma State.
