FRESNO, Calif. - The Auburn equestrian team moved up a spot to No. 2 in the Equestrian Coaches Poll released Tuesday.

Auburn (7-2) most recently defeated Georgia at the Auburn University Horse Center Nov. 12 to close its fall season. The Tigers have recorded wins over No. 3 Georgia, No. 6 Kansas State, No. 7 South Carolina and No. 9 Fresno State.

Texas A&M moved up a spot to take over the No. 1 position, while Georgia moved down two spots to No. 3, followed by Oklahoma State and TCU.

Kansas State sits sixth, followed by South Carolina, Baylor, Fresno State and New Mexico State.

The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Umbrella initiated the national poll. It is released bi-monthly with its next release scheduled for Nov. 30.

The Tigers will return to action in the spring against UT-Martin Jan. 28, in Martin, Tenn.
