AUBURN - The Auburn equestrian team travels to Brookings, S.D., this weekend for two meets as the Tigers (4-0) will face both South Dakota State University and Delaware State University on Saturday.

So far this season, the Jack Rabbits of SDSU are 1-3 and coming off of a tough, 8-8 tiebreak loss to UT-Martin. The Hornets of DSU are 1-4.

Some of Auburn's best, young talent in Katsy Leeman, Stephanie Rucci, Lucy Igoe and Danielle Long will all be competing this weekend as they are fresh off of impressive showings at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress.

"While we are ready to travel this weekend, we find ourselves heading to facilities to ride horses we have never seen as a team," head coach Greg Williams said. "We are just going to have to play our game the way we have been as our rides have kept us in the winner's circle so far."

The Tigers' lineup against South Dakota State is as follows:

Competing in Equitation Over Fences will be Coryn Bergenty, Quincy Hayes, Grace Socha and Jennifer Waxman with Maggie McAlary as the alternate.

Equitation on the Flat will see Anna Becker, Maggie McAlary, Christina Lin and Piper Donnelly with the alternate, Lindsay Portela.

Kristin Hansen, Katsy Leeman, Danielle Long and Stephanie Rucci will compete in Horsemanship while Katie Buff will be the alternate.
