Equestrian Faces Fresno State And Delaware State This Weekend

The undefeated Auburn equestrian team will face Delaware State at 2 p.m. Friday and Fresno State at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Auburn University Horse Center.

"We are coming off of a tremendous road win against South Carolina," said head coach Greg Williams. "We won a very close meet there with an exciting finish with our last three reining rides. Now the challenge will be not getting relaxed and competing in a flat manner with both Delaware State and Fresno State."

Competing against Delaware State (0-0) in western horsemanship will be Auburn's Mary Casey, Bailey Dymond, Casey Fowler, Indy Roper and Chelsea Zillner with Kristin Hansen as the alternate and Anna Beck riding the demo.

Riding in equitation over fences for the Tigers will be Rachel Lin, Elise Fraza, Anna Schierholz, Grace Socha and Anna Becker with Mallory Kolpin as the alternate and Piper Donnelly riding the demo.

 

 

In reining, Jillian Fuller, Kristin Hansen, Lydia Hinshaw, Paige Monfore and Cassandra Stambuk will ride for Auburn with Kelsey George as the alternate.

And in equitation on the flat, Rachel Lin, Rachel Cooper, Elise Fraza, Mallory Kolpin and Grace Socha will ride for the Tigers with Anna Becker as the alternate and Carmann Matherne riding the demo.

Competing against Fresno State (0-0) in western horsemanship will be Auburn's Bailey Dymond, Kristin Hansen, Indy Roper, Stephanie Rucci and Chelsea Zillner with Mary Casey as the alternate, Jessica Remy riding the exhibition and Mallory Campbell riding the demo.

In equitation over fences, Ali Loprete, Dottie Grubb, Maggie McAlary, Grace Socha and Jennifer Waxman will ride for the Tigers with Lindsay Portela as the alternate, Coryn Bergenty riding the exhibition and Anna Schierholz riding the demo.

Riding for Auburn (3-0) in reining will be Kristin Hansen, Paige Monfore, Indy Roper, Stephanie Rucci and Cassandra Stambuk with Kelsey George as the alternate.

And in equitation on the flat, Ali Loprete, Dottie Grubb, Piper Donnelly, Lindsay Portela and Bailey Kleis will compete for the Tigers with Maggie McAlary as the alternate, Rachel Lin riding exhibition and Jennifer Waxman riding the demo.

The Hornets and the Bulldogs will also compete head-to-head at 10 a.m. Friday prior to Auburn competing.
