Auburn Equestrian Remains No. 2 in NCEA Rankings

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn equestrian team, which dominated Fresno State in the season opener 15-2, remains the No. 2 team in the country after the release of the first regular season NCEA coaches' poll, as announced by the selection committee today.

Each of the four SEC teams maintained their preseason positions in the rankings. Georgia remains the nation's No. 1 team following a 16-3 win against Fresno State. South Carolina is 2-0 on the year and ranked No. 3 after wins against Kansas State and Fresno State. Texas A&M, which competes for the first time this weekend, is No. 6.

NCEA rankings will be released twice per month with the next announcement coming Monday, Oct. 14.

The equestrian team returns to action on Oct. 19 at the Auburn Horse Center when they host UT-Martin. Meet time is set for 10 a.m. and admission is free.
