Tigers Ready for No. 2 South Carolina

AUBURN, Ala. -

The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team is set to take on No. 2 South Carolina, Thursday at 3 p.m. CT in Blythewood, S.C.

The Tigers are coming off a 10-9 win over No. 6 Oklahoma State last Friday and sit at 1-0 going into Thursday's meet.

"We're ready," Auburn head coach Greg Williams said. "I think right now, they're attitudes showed that they're ready to go on the road. We're excited."

In equitation over fences, Auburn will feature Megan Bifano, Claire Connaghan, Quincy Hayes, Christina Lin and Jennifer Waxman. Melena Smith will be the alternate.

Riding in equitation on the flat will be Anna Becker, Claire Connaghan, Jennifer Delman, Christina Lin and Lindsay Portela. Hannah Marco will be the alternate.

In Western horsemanship, Auburn will ride Katie Buff, Griffin Knight, Katsy Leeman, Indy Roper and Stephanie Rucci. Danielle Long will be the alternate.



Riding in reining will be Julianna Cook, Cheyenne Cracraft, Hailey Munger, Indy Roper and Stephanie Rucci. Morgan Burns will be the alternate.

This will be the first collegiate competition for Bifano and Connaghan.

Auburn maintained its spot at No. 3 in the NCEA coaches' poll this week, while Georgia topped the rankings after defeating No. 4 Texas A&M, 17-5, Saturday. South Carolina jumped two spots to No. 2, following a win against Oklahoma State.
