AUBURN - The Auburn equestrian team has announced plans to host winter clinics on Dec. 12-13 (Hunt Seat only) and Dec. 19-20 (Hunt Seat and Western) at the Auburn Equestrian Center. The cost of the camp will be $300. On Saturday, Dec. 12 and 19, the camp will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 13 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The two-day clinic is open to riders ages 10 to 18 with competition experience. For liability and safety reasons, participants in Hunt Seat should be competing comfortably at a 2-foot fence height minimum. For Western, they should have horse show experience which demonstrates their competence and safety for riding with others.
The clinic will be held at the Auburn Equestrian Center, home of the 2006 overall and the 2008 Hunt Seat national champions. The main focus of the clinic will be concentrated instruction in Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences and on the Flat, Horsemanship, Reining and multiple rides on Auburn equestrian team horses.
Instructors for the clinic will include: Auburn head coach Greg Williams, associate head coach Lindsay Neubarth (Hunt Seat), assistant coach Lisa Helfer (Western) and several volunteer coaches from the Auburn equestrian team.
All those wanting to attend must email Carolyn Williams at email@example.com to confirm availability.
