AUBURN - Jessica Braswell has been named the hunt seat assistant coach of Auburn equestrian, head coach Greg Williams announced Wednesday.

"I am so excited to have Jessica back in Auburn," Williams said. "Jessica was a member of our 2006 National Championship team, a rider for the 2008 Hunt Seat National title and was a graduate assistant and director of operations for the first half of last year's National Championship team."

A member of the equestrian team from 2005-09, Braswell helped lead Auburn to an overall national championship in 2006 and a hunt seat national championship in 2008. She was a four-time member of the SEC academic honor roll and the 2009 Auburn Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. She continued to be a part of the equestrian program during graduate school.

"She was a team leader throughout her years here at Auburn, also serving as the SAAC representative for the team," Williams said. "She not only brings a wealth of coaching knowledge in, but she does so with enthusiasm and complete understanding of what it means to be a member of the Auburn Family. We are thrilled to have her back."

Braswell graduated from Auburn in 2009 with a double major in Agriculture, Economics and Spanish International Trade and earned a Master's in Business Administration in 2010.

Prior to coaching at Auburn, Braswell worked as a strategist in the Proposal Management Department for CIGNA Healthcare in Hartford, Conn.
