Auburn, Ala. -

The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team had five riders receive All-American honors for the 2011-12 season.

Senior Hunt Seat rider Maggie McAlary was named to the All-American teams in both Equitation over Fences and Equitation on the Flat, while junior Western rider Indy Roper received the honor in Reining.

Honorable Mentions were given to sophomore Jennifer Waxman in Equitation over Fences, freshman Jennifer Delman in Equitation on the Flat, Roper in Horsemanship and sophomore Cheyenne Cracraft in Reining.

“I am so proud of these girls’ accomplishments,” Auburn head coach Greg Williams said. “It’s so hard to earn an honor like that, and so few people ever can claim one. I know they will cherish the title for years.”

Auburn is in action this weekend at the Southern Equestrian Championships in Athens, Ga., where it will face No. 6 South Carolina Friday at 1 p.m. CT. The Tigers will travel to the National Collegiate Equestrian Championships in Waco, Texas, April 13-15.
