AUBURN - The Auburn equestrian team travels this weekend to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State on Friday at 9 a.m. CT and to Stillwater, Okla., to face Oklahoma State on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT.

"We have to take on Kansas State first," said Auburn head coach Greg Williams. "It'll be the first time in Auburn equestrian history to travel there, so we're looking forward to that opportunity."

The Tigers are 6-2 on the season having defeated No. 1 Baylor 11-9 on March 7. The Wildcats are 4-8 on the season with their last win coming against South Dakota State on March 8.

"We'll then travel to Oklahoma State, which we have been to before," said Williams. "I think statistically their Western team is No. 1 in the country. On the Western side, we're going to have to look for great rides out of a lot of riders, but we're going to have to look for continued great rides out of two people, Paige Monfore and Kim Pope, that have led consistently all season."

The Cowgirls are 6-5 on the season with their last loss coming against Texas Christian on March 8.

Riding for the Tigers against Kansas State in Hunt Seat Equitation on the Flat are Katie Breedlove, Ali Loprete, Jenny Reinhart, Rebecca Rifkin and Anna Schierholz with Liza Luker and Grace Socha on exhibition and Maggie McAlary as the alternate. Riding in Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences are Chelsea Anheuser, Dottie Grubb, Ali Loprete, Maggie McAlary and Grace Socha with Annie Loar and Liza Luker on exhibition and Jessica Braswell as the alternate. Riding in Western Horsemanship are Bailey Dymond, Jessica Jones, Courtney Kobak, Kylie Miller and Kim Pope with Mary Casey and Sarah Whitaker on exhibition and Shannon Hinton as the alternate. Riding in Western Reining are Ashton Fairey, Jessica Jones, Lyndsey Jordan, Paige Monfore and Kim Pope with Kelsey George as the alternate.
