    No. 3 Auburn Equestrian Travels To The Midwest For 3 Meets

    The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team travels to compete against three ranked teams this weekend. The Tigers will take on No. 6 Kansas State and No. 10 New Mexico State March 11 in Manhattan, Kan., and No. 4 Oklahoma State March 12 in Stillwater, Okla.

    *All of the girls are set to go,* said head coach Greg Williams. *Both coach Neubarth and coach Helfer have been so excited about the practices and girls* attitudes. We can make quite a statement for seeding at nationals with some strong performances this week. We will be looking for a lot of leadership in our upperclassmen.*

    Auburn (9-3) hopes to continue its winning ways in its final regular season meets before entering the post season.

    Against Kansas State (4-7), Auburn will start freshman Christina Lin, senior Dottie Grubb, senior Anna Schierholz and junior Grace Socha over fences, with freshman Quincy Hayes as the alternate.

    In horsemanship, sophomore Indy Roper, freshman Stephanie Rucci, senior Bailey Dymond and freshman Chelsea Zillner will ride, with senior Mary Casey as the alternate.

    In equitation on the flat, sophomore Lindsay Portela, senior Ali Loprete, Lin and Hayes will ride for the Tigers, with Socha as the alternate.

    And reining for Auburn will be senior Paige Monfore, junior Jillian Fuller, junior Kristin Hansen and Roper, with Rucci as the alternate.

    Against New Mexico State (3-4), freshman Jennifer Waxman, Lin, Loprete and Grubb will ride over fences, with Portela as the alternate.

    Riding horsemanship will be Roper, Rucci, Hansen and Casey, with Dymond as the alternate.

    Riding on the flat will be sophomore Anna Becker, junior Maggie McAlary, Loprete and Portela, with Lin as the alternate.

    In reining, Roper, Monfore, Fuller and Rucci will ride for the Tigers, with Hansen as the alternate.

    Against Oklahoma State (6-2), Auburn will start Loprete, McAlary, Schierholz, Socha and Waxman over fences, with Grubb as the alternate and Becker as the exhibition rider.

    Riding horsemanship will be Casey, Dymond, Hansen, Roper and Rucci, with Fuller as the alternate and Zillner as the exhibition rider.

    In equitation on the flat, Becker, Lin, McAlary, Portela and Socha will start for the Tigers, with Loprete as the alternate and Hayes as the exhibition rider.

    And riding reining will be Fuller, Hansen, Monfore, Roper and Rucci, with Casey as the alternate and Zillner as the exhibition rider.

    The start times of each meet are to be determined.
