Auburn, Ala. -

The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team (7-1) is set to host No. 3 Georgia (7-1) at the Auburn University Horse Center on Saturday, February 18. The meet is schedule to begin at 9 a.m. CT instead of the originally scheduled 1 p.m. start time because of a threat of inclement weather in the Auburn area.

"This meet has often been a preview of the final rounds for the National Championship," Tigers' head coach Greg Williams said. "The caliber of these two teams this year is proving to be no different. The Auburn girls are certainly ready to compete and we look forward to turning in some great rides. Both huntseat and western arenas will be great to watch."

Competing for Auburn in Equitation over Fences will be Quincy Hayes, Christina Lin, Maggie McAlary, Grace Socha and Jennifer Waxman. Anna Becker will serve as the alternate.

Equitation on the Flat will feature Anna Becker, Jennifer Delman, Christina Lin, Maggie McAlary and Lindsay Portela, with Jennifer Waxman as the alternate.

Competing in Western Horsemanship will be Katie Buff, Katsy Leeman, Danielle Long, Indy Roper and Stephanie Rucci. Chelsea Zillner is the alternate.

In Reining, Auburn will ride Cheyenne Cracraft, Jillian Fuller, Kristin Hansen, Indy Roper and Stephanie Rucci. Julianna Cook will serve as the alternate.

The Bulldogs have a seven-meet winning streak coming into Saturday’s meet, with their only loss coming at Texas A&M in Georgia's opening meet of the fall. Georgia is coming off an 11-8 victory over No. 5 South Carolina on February 4.

Auburn’s only loss of the season was at Georgia on Nov. 11, as the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers, 10-8. Auburn is coming off an 11-8 win over Oklahoma State on January 28.

The first 300 fans at Saturday’s meet will receive an Auburn Equestrian koozie. Weather permitting, pony rides, Paint a Pony, build a horse, painted horseshoes and an inflatable will be available for kids throughout the meet, and a horse hopper race will take place at the beginning of intermission.

Also during intermission, the 2011-12 Auburn Equestrian senior class will be recognized. The 2011-12 seniors are Anna Beck, Rachel Cooper, Jillian Fuller, Kelsey George, Kristin Hansen, Maggie McAlary and Grace Socha.

Admission is free.
