    Equestrian Travels To UT-Martin For First Meet Of The Spring

    AUBURN - The No. 2 Auburn equestrian team opens its spring season at UT-Martin (2-3) on Friday at 10 a.m. Central. Auburn (6-2) finished its fall season with a 13-6 win over No. 3 Georgia at the Auburn University Equestrian Center on Nov. 12.

    "We are anxious to get going again with a non-conference meet," head coach Greg Williams. "With a very tough spring schedule, it's going to be interesting to see how tough we are this weekend and how far we need to go to win in the postseason."

    Riding for the Tigers in equitation over fences will be Coryn Bergenty, Piper Donnelly, Dottie Grubb, Quincy Hayes and Anna Schierholz with Jennifer Waxman as the alternate. In equitation on the flat, Anna Becker, Rachel Lin, Ali Loprete, Maggie McAlary and Grace Socha will ride for Auburn with Donnelly as the alternate.

    In western horsemanship, Mary Casey, Bailey Dymond, Kristin Hansen, Stephanie Rucci and Chelsea Zillner will ride for the Tigers with Indy Roper as the alternate. Riding reining for Auburn will be Jillian Fuller, Kristin Hansen, Paige Monfore, Roper and Rucci with Lydia Hinshaw as the alternate.
