Plans Set for Basketball Doubleheader on Dec. 14 Construction Shuts Down Heisman Drive for Winter Break

Auburn hosts South Florida in a men's and women's doubleheader Wednesday.

Auburn will host a men's and women's basketball doubleheader on Wednesday, Dec. 14 with both teams taking on South Florida at Auburn Arena. The women will tip off at 6 p.m. and the men's game will begin at 8:30 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest. The arena will not be cleared at the conclusion of the women's game.

Construction will begin on Wednesday shutting down Heisman Drive from Dec. 14-Jan. 8. The only entrance to the Auburn Arena parking lot will be from Donahue Drive.

With students on winter break, there will be plenty of parking surrounding Auburn Arena and in residence hall lots.

The following is all the logistical information for fans attending the games.

HEISMAN DRIVE CLOSURE:
- From Dec. 14, 2011 - Jan. 8, 2012 Heisman Drive will be under construction to repair sanitary sewer lines.
- The only parking entrance to Auburn Arena will be from Donahue Drive.
- There is no thru traffic, all cars will utilize Wire Rd. and Donahue Drive.

TICKETS AND GATE OPENING:
- Doors will open for the women's game at 4:30 p.m.
- A men's basketball ticket will grant entry into the arena for the women's game; however, may not have access to your specific seat if it is sold as a season ticket for the women's game.
- Women's tickets will be sold up until halftime of the women's game and men's tickets will begin being sold at that time.
- The Courtside Lounge will open at 7:00 p.m. to serve the pre-game meal to Courtside Club members, suite holders and upgraded Arena Club members.
- The Scholarship Terrace will be cleared after the women's game to enable the caterer to set up for the pre-game meal prior to tip off of the men's game.

PARKING AND TRAFFIC
- The Arena Parking Lot will be reserved for men's basketball Scholarship Donors beginning at 3:30 p.m.
- Due to construction, the only entrance to the Scholarship parking lot will be off Donahue Drive (until roadwork completion on Jan. 8, 2012).
- Additional parking for the doubleheader can be found in the Beard-Eaves lot or in the Village Residence Hall parking lot north of Auburn Arena.
