AUBURN - Auburn sophomore Hasina Muhammad added another honor to her collection Monday as she was selected to the Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference Second Team.
Muhammad, a native of Memphis, Tenn., is Auburn's first All-SEC selection since Alli Smalley earned first-team honors in 2011. Muhammad leads the team and ranks sixth in the SEC with 14.3 points per game. She also averages 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals and a team-high 1.3 blocks per game this season.
Her 429 points this year are eighth all-time at Auburn among sophomores. Her 69 steals are third at Auburn among sophomores and her 39 blocks are tied for seventh among sophomores with Linda Godby.
She scored a career-high 24 points on Jan. 6 at Missouri and pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds on Dec. 12 at George Washington. She also tallied her first career double-double at GW as she scored 21 points with nine steals. Her nine steals against the Colonials are tied for fourth all-time at Auburn.
