Auburn In The Pros: Women's Basketball Overseas Update

AUBURN - Five former Auburn players are currently playing professional basketball overseas in Europe. DeWanna Bonner is currently playing for Perfumerias in Spain while classmate Whitney Boddie is playing for Helios in Switzerland.
Alli Smalley, a senior for the Tigers last season, is playing with Gorzow in Poland while Le'Coe Willingham plays for Kayseri in Turkey and Mandisa Stevenson plays for the Spanish team Cadi La Seu.
Bonner, a native of Fairfield, Ala., has started out the first half of her season playing well. She is currently leading her team with 20 points per game while averaging 6.8 rebounds a game in the 11 games she has played so far. Bonner and the Spanish team Perfumerias are second in the Spanish league with a record of 14-2 and 8-3 in Euroleague.
Boddie, a native of Florence, Ala., has started out the first half of her season strong. Played in nine games so far, she leads her team in assists averaging 5.8 a game. Boddie and the Helios team are currently first in the Swiss league with a record 13-0 and is 3-3 in Eurocup games.
Smalley, an Arab, Ala., native, has hit the ground running in her first professional season. She has played in 18 games so far and is third on her team in scoring with 9.6 per game. Smalley and the Gorzow team are sixth in the league with a record of 11-7.
Augusta, Ga., native Willingham has played in two games so far this season. She is third on her team in total points averaging 13.5 a game. Willingham and the Kayseri team are third in the league with a record of 11-4.
Rounding out the group is Stevenson, a native of Decatur, Ala. She has played in 10 games so far this season and is second on her team in rebounds, averaging 3.8 a game. Stevenson and the Cadi La Seu team are eighth in the league with a record of 8-8.
