Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn University War on Hunger, in conjunction with the women's basketball team, will host the third annual "This One's for the Girls," on Sunday at the women's game versus Kentucky. Game time is slated for 2 p.m. CT at the Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.

The campaign, "This One's for the Girls," was appropriately named due to the fact that 70 percent of the world's hungry are women and girls. Fans that bring at least one non-perishable food item will be admitted into the game free. All proceeds will be given to the East Alabama Food Bank.

"Auburn University has become a model for War on Hunger and we want other schools to be able to follow our model and continue to raise awareness of the world hunger problem," head coach Nell Fortner said.

Over the past two years of the campaign, more than $3,000 in donations and more than a ton of food has been collected. Hopes are high for another outstanding contribution from the Auburn community.
