Opening statement...
"I thought we had a great scoring punch off the bench tonight with 48 points, and I'm so pleased with that. It just gives us so many options with starting who we start and then having that punch coming off the bench. I just feel really good about the direction we're going. We're not where we want to be totally, but I feel like this game has given us another measure of ourselves as far as how we want to play basketball and how hard we want to play it."

On the press...
"I thought we did some good things. I thought it set the tone of the game, and I thought that was important. We played it for a long time, so running some fresh legs in and out of there gives us an opportunity to do that. I don't know if we can do that all the time, but I thought that the pressure definitely was a factor in how we got off to a pretty good start."

On Camille Glymph...
"She's a shooter. That kid can just shoot the ball, and she has a nose for that basket. It's always nice to see her shooting the ball in a good way."

On Auburn using its size advantage...
"I thought our size definitely made a difference. I thought we were very aggressive on the offensive boards, which was something we wanted to do. Obviously getting more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds definitely is pretty nice to see. Now, I thought we missed a lot of bunnies toward the end of the game. We were missing some shots that we should have made. We have to finish hat game focused on that basket and taking advantage of those short opportunities."

On being where they hoped they would be going into the second month of the season...
"After tonight, because I was pleased with the total team effort tonight from beginning to end, and that was something I needed to see and feel, and so yeah, I am. I feel like this team is starting to really understand, and you never know when that's going to be. I think they saw a little bit of the light tonight, and hopefully we'll continue getting better from this."

On Hasina Muhammad...
"I thought she was just outstanding. Just really used her minutes and was so effective with them. She's a player that can do a lot of different things with the ball, with the ball, moves well without the ball. I was very pleased to see what she did offensively."

Hasina Muhammad, Fr., F/G

On their size and advantage over Troy...
"We just had to have the will to get the rebound. We had it today."

On the progress made heading into December...
"We are hoping each game that we're improving to get to where we need to be by SEC, so we just need to keep grinding it out and see where we end up."

On her performance...
"I'm a little more comfortable. I had a few mental lapses that can be corrected so next time I'll try to improve on those."

Jassany Williams, So., F

On advantages over Troy...
"Boxing out. We work on that every practice and coach has been putting a lot of emphasis on it, so of course we're going to use our size, but we also knew that they would really trap you on the rebound so that just made us go even harder."

On progress made heading into December...
"I feel like we're in a really good spot right now. Like Hasina said, we have a lot of improvement to make, but right now I feel we're on a great track to do a lot of great things in December."

Head Coach Michael Murphy

On overall thoughts on the game...
"Obviously we ran up against a very disciplined, determined and aggressive team tonight. We knew they would be. They are extremely well coached. They play really hard, which is evident in the way they go after rebounds. We have a lot of respect for their program. I thought my girls competed. I thought under the circumstances, considering our injuries, we did as well as we could. We never gave up, we never let in. We continued to fight until the final buzzer. I am really proud of them. I think we can learn some lessons from this game and move forward and have a great month in December."

On allowing Auburn to break away in the second half...
"We knew the first five seconds of the second half were going to be critical. We had a couple of chances early to score and didn't do that. We held them the first couple of possessions. I thought that was a turning point because they got a couple of put-backs. They do a great job of offensive rebounding. We knew that would be a point of emphasis. We didn't do as good of a job as we needed to do, but really I just think their athleticism and their size got to us in the second half. We got a little bit run down with our injuries and had nowhere to go. We just had to survive with what we had, and I think what really got away from us was their athleticism and length in the second half."

Deangela Sword, Sr., G

On her overall performance...
"It was a big game, coming to play a big school. It was good for us to play against athletic people. We have to get ready for December. It was fun to come back closer to home because I am from Montgomery. As far as scoring, I didn't know that I had double digits in six games. I am just trying to play with the offense and take what is given."

On what she wants to work on moving forward...
"We mostly have to work on simple things, boxing out, close outs, getting a hand up on shooters and mostly defensive things. On offense we need to work on looking out to the post, simple basketball things, and I think we will be able to move forward."
