Head Coach Nell Fortner
Opening statement...
"We ran across a hot Vanderbilt team. They shot the ball extremely well, and Jessica Mooney was the x-factor; she was outstanding today. We just didn't respond with any kind of good shooting and we lost our confidence. We did get on the boards well. We were on the offensive boards, but we couldn't get the put-backs. It was just a tough day shooting for us. Vanderbilt played well."

On Arkansas being a must win...
"It is. We all know that. If we have any hopes at all of getting into the (NCAA) tournament, and we do beat Arkansas and go 50 percent in the conference, I think we deserve a tournament bid."

On Auburn's recent record against Vanderbilt...
"Vanderbilt is a good team. They are well coached, well disciplined, they play hard and they are a very scrappy team. They are just a tough, hard-nosed team. It always seems like when we play them, for whatever reason, we come up a little short in numbers. Either it's injuries or not having a true point guard, it's hard. It's a tough way to get through the conference. Today, I have to give it to Vanderbilt, they just played extremely well."

Head Coach Melanie Balcomb
On Jessica Mooney's performance...
"I think she is one of our best defenders. When we were having problems getting stops she came in and got steals. It was huge with her coming out ready to play and defend. Her six assists helped as well. She broke down the defense and her first half was a near-perfect game."

On Vanderbilt's energy...
"I thought we did a good job. We did not defend them in the beginning of the game as well as we wanted to so we went to man to try and curb that. We broke it open early. We had the energy to keep them off the boards. Eventually they still ended up with their 20 offensive boards and half of their points from second chance shots. Auburn is a great team and they are going to do that. DeWanna Bonner ended up with her 19 points. But she is a great player so we expected that. We just did not let anyone else sneak in and beat us."

On Vanderbilt's perimeter shooting...
"Mooney spreads the defense well. We can have four other girls that have great range as well. It is really hard to stop our girls because of that. Our kids are shooting the ball with a lot of confidence."

On shooting the three's...
"We have been shooting the ball well from the three as of lately. They were confident coming into the game."
