AUBURN HEAD COACH Nell Fortner
On game... "It was an ugly night. We did nothing good offensively. We didn't play well. It just wasn't a good night for us."
On Chantelle Blakely... "Chantelle affected us. This was only her second start, so her unease wasn't unexpected. We threw her into the fire and it was a tough night for her."
On free throws... "You would think that you would have a chance to win the ballgame with 30 free throws. We couldn't get the second one in on the one-and-one."
SOUTH CAROLINA HEAD COACH SUSAN WALVIUS
On keeping poise at end of game... "That is the beauty of this team. We have different people that step up for us every night. We played very sloppy tonight and you have to give Auburn credit. They are a great shot-blocking team. I don't think that either team is pleased with their performance tonight, but we will take the win. This is our fourth straight SEC win on the road and that is good."
On Auburn's low post players... "You can't really adjust to their size and strength inside. They have tremendous size inside. Keke (Carrier) is really big and fundamentally she does a great job inside. We had her double teamed the whole night and she still scored on us. We just ended up fouling her because if she was going to score on us anyway, then we just wanted to get her to the foul line. But, we will take the win."
On Iva Sliskovic... "We have a different player come through for us each night and Iva is always a very consistent player. She is playing hard. She was playing about 30 minutes every game and now sometimes she only plays ten minutes. She knew that she was going to be challenged inside and she welcomed the challenge ahead."
