Head Coach Nell Fortner
On the game...
"We had a good outing for everyone on the team. We had valuable time for our bench. We need our bench to have the confidence to help us down the stretch. I am pleased with their performance."

On psyche...
"Winning changes everything. It gives us confidence. The team has always believed that we were going to turn the corner, even when we were losing. They were never down on themselves. That is a credit to their character."

On height...
"(Sherell) Hobbs is a very hard worker. She has great post moves. She always finds a way to get her way in there. They had a hard time guarding KeKe (Carrier). You can't just push and shove her out of the way. They were doing all that they could to block her."

On staying in the lead...
"We came out strong. That is something we never do. They were determined. The first ally-oop was a great way to get the game started. That just kept us rolling. In their youth, the focus is not always there. It was there tonight and they maintained it."

On work...
"When we watch tapes, we don't feel that we can win against any team. I think that our zone really stopped them in their tracks and messed with their rhythm. We always go into a game with respect for the other team."

Freshman Guard Sherell Hobbs
On focus...
"We came out focused. We didn't want to let them get into the paint. They are young too and it was the battle of the freshmen."

On big win...
"I was surprised with our big win. In the SEC, it is not supposed to be possible to win by 30."

On height...
"I am used to posting the guard. I felt comfortable tonight, and I took advantage of it."

Head Coach Sharon Fanning
On the game...
"We did well rebounding and managing to get to the ball. We needed to take more open shots. But Auburn played with poise. They have good size, especially in their starting lineup, which gave us some difficult matchups."

On being down the entire game...
"We needed to focus on getting possession back. We only made 1-for-16 of our three pointers, and we're better than that. We got in the hole early, making it hard to come back."

On unforced turnovers...
"Some of those were in transition, and we needed to communicate and push it. We have to do a better job of spreading the floor and penetrating into the other team's defense. If we can penetrate, it will help us build confidence on offense and make us tougher to defend. We're going to go back and reflect on our possessions. We had some good possessions, and we're going to focus on those. Blessing (Chekwa) did a good job of putting the ball in while she was surrounded by defenders."
