FEATURE STORY: Seniors Ready To Shine
As a Senior (2011-12):
Played in all 30 games, starting in 15 game... Averaged 4.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists... Scored a season high 11 points against Vanderbilt on Feb. 2... Dished out a career high nine assists vs. Belmont on November 15... Ranked 12th in the SEC in assists per game with 2.8... Tied a career high with 4 steals vs. Alabama on Feb. 23.
As a Junior (2010-11):
Played in 31 games, starting eight... Six of the eight starts came in the final six games of the season... Scored 106 points, averaging 3.4 per game... Also averaged 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game... Scored in double figures in four games, including three of the last five... Scored a career-high 16 points vs. Kentucky that featured career highs of 6-of-7 from the free throw line... Scored 10 points in Auburn's upset win at No. 22 Georgia... Snagged a career-high four steals against Alabama A&M... Also blocked two shots, one each against South Alabama and Temple, the only blocks of her career... Dished out a career-high six assists at George Washington... Hit a career-high seven field goals against Seton Hall in the Bahamas, scoring 14 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting.
As a Sophomore (2009-10):
Suffered an ACL injury in July and returned to the team in December - made her season debut against Alabama on Jan. 14, adding one point and one steal in five minutes off the bench... Tallied 19 points on the season, averaging 1.5 ppg... Added 11 rebounds, 15 assists, and two steals on the season... Had season highs of four points against Vanderbilt and Arkansas... Comes off the bench as a role player, playing either point guard or shooting guard.
As a Freshman (2008-09):
Played in 30 games, starting four, averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game... Started the first three games of her Auburn career at point guard in place of Whitney Boddie... Tallied a season-high 14 points at UAB on 6-of-8 shooting... Picked up season highs of three steals, five rebounds and six assists against Temple.
Ranked as the No. 17 prospect among guards and the No. 83 prospect nationally by Olsen's report as she averaged 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 6.0 steals per game as a senior at Frederick Douglass High School... A McDonald's All-America Team nominee... Was an honor roll student and three-sport letterwinner... Helped the basketball team to a 5A Final Four appearance as a junior... Named First-Team All-State, All-5A Region and All-City Life/South/Metro Team, in addition to earning the Pitcher's Award on her softball team last year... Also competed on the track & field team in the high jump, finishing first in the state in 2006... Also competed on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams for her high school... Majoring in public administration.
