LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Auburn men’s tennis concludes its fall slate at the Larry Easley Memorial hosted by UNLV at the Fertitta Tennis Complex starting on Friday.
The Tigers look to finish strong in their final action of the fall as the three-day tournament kicks off on Friday at 11 a.m. with doubles play. Friday's session with also include two rounds of singles action.
Five teams join the Tigers at the Larry Easley Memorial, including Arizona, Northern Arizona, Oregon, Grand Canyon and Seminole State (Okla.) College.
Auburn enters the tournament after a three-week layoff following the ITA Southern Regional in Tuscaloosa. Two doubles tandems advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Regional. The duo of Daniel Cochrane and Joseph Van Dooren battled to the semifinals before falling 8-6, while Lukas Ollert and Dennis Lengsfeld fell in a tiebreaker 8-7(5).
Ollert and Cochrane advanced to the ITA Southern Regional quarterfinals for the Tigers. Freshman Dante Saleh finished 1-1 at the tournament in singles.
Ollert enters this weekend as the highest ranked player for the Tigers on the singles side, coming in at No. 75. Cochrane and Lengsfeld open play ranked 23rd in doubles by the ITA.
