Feb. 9, 2011

AUBURN, Ala. -- The No. 28 Auburn men's tennis team hosts Southern Mississippi on Friday, Feb. 11, and No. 19 North Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 12. Both matches are slated for 1 p.m. at the Yarbrough Tennis Center and admission is free.

"We're hosting a pair of tough matches this weekend and are anxious to compete," head coach Eric Shore said. "Both matches will help us see where we are at early this season and what we need to continue to work on as the season progresses."

Friday will be the 13th meeting between the Tigers and Golden Eagles with Auburn holding a 12-0 advantage. Last year, the two teams faced off with Auburn coming away with a 6-1 win. The Tar Heels and Tigers matchup will also be the 13th between the two schools. The series is even at 6-6 after UNC defeated Auburn last year, 4-3, in Chapel Hill.
