AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn men's tennis team (3-1) visits New England this weekend for a pair of matches in the Harvard Crimson Kickoff Indoors tournament.
Auburn will play host Harvard (2-0) on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT and will face either Utah (4-0) or Wichita State (1-1) in a Sunday match at either 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. CT. All matches will be played at the Murr Center in Cambridge, Mass.
"These teams all ranked between 30 and 50 in the country at the end of last season, so it's a great opportunity to play teams close to us in ability and hopefully get two wins," Auburn coach Bobby Reynolds said.
"We want our guys to be ready to play first-strike tennis and to compete until the very end. We talk a lot about creating momentum and seizing opportunities.
"We're still mixing and matching to find the best combinations in doubles, and working on serves, working on returns, and working on coming forward and being aggressive."
Live streaming of the matches will be available at www.IvyLeagueNetwork.com.
The next home matches for the Tigers are Friday, February 2 against Georgia State (11 a.m.) and Liberty (6 p.m.). All Auburn home matches are held at the Yarbrough Tennis Center (771 Yarbrough Farms Blvd., Auburn) and admission is free.
