No. 21 Auburn (2-0) vs. Troy (1-1)
Tuesday, Jan. 22 | 2 p.m. | Yarbrough Tennis Center
AUBURN - The 21st-ranked Auburn men's tennis team will wrap up a season-opening three-match home stand Tuesday afternoon as the Tigers welcome longtime rival Troy to the City of Auburn/Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center for a 2 p.m. dual match.
Admission is free to all Auburn home tennis matches. Free pizza will be available while supplies last at the conclusion of the doubles portion of the match. Live scoring will also be available through AuburnTigers.com, and fans can follow @MensTennisAU for updates throughout the match.
The Tigers (2-0) are coming off a pair of victories Saturday over Jacksonville State and Mercer, both by identical 7-0 scores. Auburn swept through both team matches without losing a single set in either match.
Auburn looks to continue its fast start to the 2013 season in its final home match for a month as the Tigers will play at least their next five matches away from home. The Tigers have been tough on their home courts, putting together a 23-7 home mark since the 2010 season.
Troy (1-1) split a pair of weekend matches on the road last weekend. The Trojans defeated Presbyterian 4-3 in Clinton, S.C., on Friday before dropping a 7-0 decision at No. 42 UNC-Wilmington on Sunday.
Last season, the Trojans finished with a 5-17 overall record and dropped a 7-0 decision at Auburn in the season opener on Jan. 21. Auburn is 18-2 all-time against Troy in dual match play, having won 18 straight in the series that dates back to 1956.
