AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 28 Auburn men’s tennis team faces a quick turnaround as the Tigers host in-state foe Troy on Tuesday afternoon at the City of Auburn/Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The midweek match is set to begin at 2 p.m. and wraps up a three-match homestand to begin to the 2014 season. Admission is free to all Auburn home tennis matches. Living scoring will be available through AuburnTigers.com and fans can also follow along on Twitter by following @MensTennisAU for updates throughout the match.

“Troy is a good team and it will be a good match leading into (National) Indoor qualifers, so I expect we will have to be firing on all cylinders,” Auburn head coach Eric Shore said. “Hopefully, we can keep building on what happed against Jacksonville State and Mercer.”

Auburn (2-0) enter Tuesday’s tilt after sweeping past Jacksonville State and Mercer on Sunday with identical 7-0 scores. The Tigers dropped just one set between the two matches.

Troy (0-1) fell in its first match of the year at No. 33 Alabama on Saturday. The Trojans face Florida State and Florida A&M on Monday, before facing the Tigers on Tuesday afternoon.

Last season, Auburn defeated Troy 7-0 at the Yarbrough Tennis Center as the Trojans finished the 2013 season with an 8-17 record. The Tigers are 19-2 all-time against Troy in dual match play, winning 19 straight matches in a series that date back to 1956.
