TEMPE, Ariz. - Auburn's Lukas Marsoun and Alex Petropoulos went 2-1 in the final day of the Arizona State Thunderbird Classic, finishing the three-day tournament with a combined 7-4 record.

Marsoun, who is playing in just his second tournament after coming off an injury, won his singles match while Petropoulos lost his. The pair teamed up for a doubles win to finish the tournament.

"Today was a good finish for the weekend and helps us get ready for next weekend with LSU, South Carolina and Troy to finish out the fall," said head coach Eric Shore. "I'm also pleased with how Lukas is coming along, overall it was a good weekend for him and we'll keep moving forward and give him some more matches next weekend."

Petropoulos played Arizona State's T.J. Bellama in his singles pairing and dropped a close one, 7-6(10), 7-5. Marsoun defeated Arkansas' Tyler Taransky, 6-4, 7-5, in his match.

In doubles play, Petropoulos and Marsoun downed Arkansas' Taransky and Christopher Nott, 8-5.
