    Competition Continues At D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships

    AUBURN, Ala. - Junior Tim Puetz and sophomore Alex Stamchev continued competition on Thursday at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. The pair competed in the tournament's singles main draw and doubles main draw.

    Puetz picked up a win to move on to the round of 32. The Vsiugen, Germany, native defeated Radford's Ivan Salec, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Puetz faces Brennan Boyjian of North Carolina on Friday.

    Stamchev's comeback against Southern California's Robert Farah fell short as the Pleven, Bulgaria, native lost 2-6, 7-6, 1-6. Stamchev takes on Washington's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in the singles main draw consolations.

    The duo took part in their first doubles competition of the fall season, taking part in the doubles main draw. Puetz and Stamchev were victorious over Virginia's Drew Courtney and Lee Singer, coming away with the 8-6 win. The pair faces SEC rival Adam Baker and Alex Zotov of Vanderbilt on Friday.
