Auburn senior's Robbert Lathouwers and Alex Schweizer concluded their collegiate career's on Wednesday at the NCAA Singles Championship in Athens, Ga.
Playing fifth-seeded Steven Moneke of Ohio State, Lathouwers dropped the first set 6-3, but rebounded back to take the second, 6-4. Moneke battled back in the third to clinch the match, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Schweizer met UCLA's Elliott Wronski and was defeated in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (4).
Lathouwers concluded his senior campaign 17-6 in spring play, while Schweizer ended 9-12. Lathouwers earned First Team All-SEC honors this season for his exceptional play. The Auburn team finished the season 15-10, after falling to National Champion Georgia in the second round.
