AUBURN, Ala. -- Reagan Harrell, the No. 2 golf recruit in the state of Alabama for 2016, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Auburn University and play for the men's golf team in 2016-17, head coach Nick Clinard announced on Wednesday.
Harrell, from Guntersville, Ala., is a two-time state champion at Guntersville High School, winning medalist honors at the 2013 Class 4A High School Championships and the 2015 Class 5A High School Championships.
Harrell won medalist honors at the 2015 Southeast Junior Golf Tour Vestavia Junior Classic in May by carding a 68-72--140 and placed fifth at the 2015 Alabama Men's State Amateur.
"Reagan is tall and athletic, a perfect build for golf," Clinard said. "His upside is endless, and we are very excited to have him in our Auburn Golf Family."
The No. 1 Tigers will tee-off the spring portion of the season Feb. 4 at the Amer Ari Invitational at the King's Course in Waikoloa, Hawaii. For the most up to date information, follow on Twitter @AUMensGolf.
