AUBURN - The 15th-ranked Auburn men's golf team opens play Monday at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate at the par-70, 7,204-yard Old Overton Golf Club in Vestavia Hills, Ala.

The Tigers will be led in the No. 1 position by sophomore Blayne Barber followed by sophomore Michael Hebert, freshman Niclas Carlsson, junior Will McCurdy and sophomore Dominic Bozzelli.

"This is a great course," said Auburn head coach Nick Clinard.  "It's very hilly and, tee to green, has some significant changes in elevation.  As a whole, we have a young squad but that does not mean they are inexperienced by any means.

Dominic (Bozzelli) will be making his colegiate debut for us on Monday.  We are all very excited for him.  He has worked hard on his game and he is looking forward to the opportunity to represent the team."

Also competing at the Jerry Pate are No. 2 Florida, No. 4 Alabama, Memphis, Mississippi State, Samford, SMU, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, UAB and UNLV.

The Tigers tee off the back nine at 8:20 a.m. CST with Florida and Mississippi State.

Live scoring will be made available via www.GolfStat.com.
